A straight-leg jean in 12 oz denim with a small amount of stretch, two percent, enough to move in and not enough to lose its shape by the afternoon. Mid-rise, straight from the hip through the thigh, with a leg that stays the same width from knee to hem. Five pockets, riveted at the stress points, with a button fly rather than a zip. The denim is rigid-feeling at first and relaxes after two or three wears, which is normal for this weight.
Wash cold inside out, as rarely as you can, and hang to dry. A hot dryer is what shrinks and fades denim.
